The 2005  Pee Wee Major Washington Little Capitals team had a successful season both on and off the ice filled with extraordinary memories.  On the ice, the team had many hard-fought wins and players all worked to improve their hockey skills.  Off the ice, they all grew as young men and women, all while coming together to work hard as a team.

The absolute highlight of the season (and their youth hockey seasons to date) was their incredible 13 day trip to Montreal and Quebec City where they played in the 59th edition of the Quebec International Pee Wee Hockey Tournament in February.  The team was led by Coach Nick Carso who had the unique perspective of having attended the tournament as a Washington Little Capital in his Pee Wee Major year.

While each player improved as a hockey player throughout the tournament, the most extraordinary part of this experience was their personal growth.  Players billeted with local families for 11 days.  For some, it was their first significant time away from home.  Our billet families welcomed them with enthusiasm and quickly became a part of our team. The friendships we forged will last for a lifetime.

Each player and their families returned from Quebec with many special memories.  The team played games against teams from the U.S., Canada, Switzerland, Germany and Slovakia. When not playing in the tournament, they frequently met up for pond hockey with their billet families and new friends in the evenings.  While not on the ice, the days were full of touring, learning and fun!  The team toured Quebec City; went to the famous Winter Carnival; sledded down the 35+ runs at the snow park; hung out at the Ice Hotel; learned how to make maple syrup; became pin trading powerhouses and attended a Quebec Remparts junior hockey game.

The 2017-18 season was one that will certainly remain one of the most special of their lives.
