Congratulations to 2019-20 Washington Little Capitals 2005 players Aiden Hopewell, Braden Pohlman, Iain Mirilovich, Jack Bainbridge, Jack Oliver, Logan Hay and Maddox Goudie who spent the week of July 21st at the U14 USA Hockey Southeastern District Development Camp at Kent State University.  *Donovan Crowley was unable to attend due to injury.

Players from VA, MD and DC earn invitations to this camp through Potomac Valley Amateur Hockey Association (PVAHA) try-outs.  They then join 20 players from each of the other three Southeastern District affiliates:  Carolina Amateur Hockey Association, (CAHA), Southern Amateur Hockey Association, (SAHA), and Statewide Amateur Hockey of Florida, (SAHOF). Washington Little Capitals goalie, Aiden Hopewell commented, "It was great to meet the people you play against in the regular season.  I can't wait to see them again!"

The U14 camp is a unique opportunity for the selected players from throughout the Southeastern District to train with elite members of the USA Hockey development staff so they can return home afterward with the tools to further develop their skills over the course of the coming season and beyond.  Next year the 2005’s will be able to try-out for the Southeastern District Development Camp and then they can compete for invitations to the USA Hockey National Player Development Camps for 15-year-olds, 16-year-olds and 17-year-olds as they progress through Midgets.  Washington Little Capitals continue to have players selected for these camps year-after-year.
