The Kettler Capitals Iceplex, practice facility and front office home for the NHL's Washington Capitals, opened for business in November 2006. The Washington Little Capitals are proud to call the Kettler Capitals Iceplex home.
The facility is the first indoor ice rink inside the Capital Beltway in Virginia. The 137,000 square foot facility includes two indoor NHL size ice rinks with seating for approximately 1,200, office space, media facilities and additional space for special events. The bulding also features a 20,000 square foot state of the art training center for the Washington Capitals. The structure sits on top of an eight store public parking garage adjacent to the Ballston Common Mall.
Washington Capitals practices are free and open to the public.
