The Little Caps continue to pile up honors from the North American Prospects Hockey league (“NAPHL”).  Lincoln Crosby, goaltender for the 15U National Team, was named the Apex Learning Center NAPHL Peak Performer for October.  Crosby put together a great effort in his three games played at the second event of the season in Blaine, MN.  The 5’8, 135 lbs. native of Chevy Chase, MD, won all three of his starts and gave up just two goals in the process, stopping 67 of the 69 shots he saw over the weekend.  Crosby made 18 saves in a 5-1 win over the Esmark Stars, made 24 saves in a 4-1 win over Rocky Mountain, and in his final outing he stopped all 23 shots that came his way for his first shutout of the season in a 2-0 win over CarShield AAA (formerly the St. Louis Selects).

15U goaltenders have impressed so far this NAPHL season - fellow goaltender Will Hopewell captured the Second Star in the 15U Division during the NAHL Super Showcase in September.

“We’re fortunate to have 2 high-quality keepers,” offered Coach Lyon Messier, “they give us a chance to win every game we’re in.  This is a great accomplishment for Lincoln.  There are some very good goaltenders in the 15U division.”

Lincoln had this to say about this big honor: “Winning this award makes me feel great! I'm glad I did my job as a goalie and that I am a member of the WLC 2002 team.”

Please join us in congratulating Lincoln on being named the NAPHL Peak Performer for October!
