Little Caps Honored as NAPHL Peak Performers

The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) announced its Peak Performers for the month of October, naming several Little Caps among the league’s elite.  The NAPHL selected its top players based upon their performance at the second NAPHL event of the season, which took place at the Schwan Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota from October 22-24, 2016.

Mac Robertson led the way, being named the Peak Performer (Offense) for the 15U Division.  Mac posted nine points (5G, 4A, 9 Pts) in the five games as the Little Caps posted a 3-2-0 record in the season-opening showcase.  Robertson started strong, tallying two goals and an assist in his NAPHL debut in a 7-3 win over the Esmark Stars.

Adam Varga (6G, 3A, 9 Pts) was named the Third Star in the 15U Division for offense.  Defenseman Bobby Staring (4 assists) was the Second Star in the 15U Defense category, and teammate Andrew Owens (3-0, 2.11 GAA) was named the division’s Third Star for goaltending.   Fellow keeper Alec Coakley (3-0, 0.97 GAA) was named the Third Star in the 18U goaltending division.   Coakley, an NAPHL veteran, continues to attract college and junior scout attention through his solid league play.

The Little Caps 18U and 16U teams continue their NAPHL seasons this coming weekend in Superior, CO.  The 15U team will be back in action in Blaine, MN the weekend of December 2.  Learn more about the NAPHL and the NAPHL Peak Performers here.  Good luck to all our Little Caps players.
